Fishtown’s favorite little take-out joint Andy’s is getting a larger sibling on South Street West with an expanded menu to boot. As few things are more crave-worthy than Korean fried chicken wings, this is absolutely news to drool over.
Billy Penn must know how much I like my sweets because they came bearing the gift of current fad dessert edible cookie dough’s intrusion into Philly. (Yes, I know all cookie dough is edible. It’s just easier to say it that way than “Raw cookie dough that has been specifically produced to be eaten raw without risk of foodborne illness”, don’t you think?)
Inquirer critic extraordinaire Craig LaBan gave his first report from the recently rebranded and reconceptualized restaurant at the Navy Yard. The Italian/Barbecue theme at Lo Spiedo never seemed to take off, but the new Bar Amis may have a winning formula now that the Vetri Group has taken it back to their roots.
